At Varebørsen you'll find a wide range of both new and used welding machines for different welding methods, so you can choose the solution that suits your needs and budget. New machines provide high operational reliability and modern features, while used welding machines are often an economically advantageous solution for workshops or production.
Vareborsen.dk has been in the industry for more than 5 decades and has thorough knowledge of used industrial machines that we have traded. We regularly replace machines and maintain our stock with new goods. We have training as well as background knowledge within the toolmaking trade and industrial machines.
Uses a feed wire as the electrode and shielding gas.
Advantage: fast, easy to learn and suitable for thicker materials and long welds, making it popular in industrial production.
Disadvantage: requires a gas cylinder and good protection against wind/draught, and typically gives a slightly lower finish quality than TIG.
Uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode and often a separate filler wire, with argon as shielding gas.
Advantage: very precise, clean welding with high quality, suitable for thin materials and stainless steel, aluminium etc.
Disadvantage: slower process, requires more practice and is more time-costly per weld.
Uses a coated electrode that melts during welding.
Advantage: simple and robust equipment, works well outdoors and on dirty/rusty workpieces, independent of gas cylinder.
Disadvantage: more slag and post-processing, lower welding speed and typically harder to achieve the same finish as with MIG/MAG or TIG.
A used welding machine is an economically sound choice compared to a new one, and it can also typically be delivered almost immediately, since it is usually already in stock. Choosing to reuse is also a sustainable choice, extending the lifespan of these machines while helping to conserve the planet's resources. It can be used in all kinds of workshops/production companies on equal footing with other metalworking machines, and will be able to handle most tasks you may have.
A used welding machine from Varebørsen typically gives you a 40-60% lower purchase price than an equivalent new machine — without compromising on quality and operational reliability. We can inform you about the machines' condition and history before purchase, and we're happy to help with advice if you're unsure which type suits your production.
What matters for good quality in industrial machines is the machine's condition and history, and whether it has been cleaned and maintained regularly (just like a car) — not its age. A well-maintained, used welding machine from a renowned brand can easily match a new machine's operational reliability, and many industrial welding machines are built to last for decades with proper maintenance. At Varebørsen we always inform you about the individual machine's condition and history before purchase, so you can make an informed choice.
In addition to the welding machines themselves, it's important to have the right accessories for a good and healthy indoor climate/working environment. Welding tables provide a stable and ergonomic work surface where items can be held in place during work. Extraction solutions can also be crucial, as they remove welding fumes and particles directly at the source and can significantly improve the working environment. Flexible extraction arms are often used for this, which can be positioned precisely where the smoke occurs, as well as filters and ventilation systems for larger productions.
If you work as a welder on a daily basis, it's a really good idea to have the right tools, protective equipment and a good grip on indoor climate and working conditions, since you spend so many hours doing it.
Welding machines are widely used in industry, especially within the automotive industry, shipbuilding, construction and steel structures, as well as in the metal and machine industry in general. They are used to join metal parts permanently and with high strength, e.g. when manufacturing steel structures, pipelines, vehicles and machine parts. The advantage is fast, durable and precise joints, often automated via robot welding for consistent quality on a large scale.
If you were looking for a spot welder instead, we can help with that too. See our range of spot welders here.
